VSO volunteers and partners reached 1.95 million people last year. They brought inspiration, energy and vital practical skills to help achieve community goals – better healthcare, more valuable education and broader opportunities.


See what we achieved together in 2014/15 in our digital review of the year, including:

  • More than 90,000 education professionals trained to better use inclusive, child-friendly teaching methods
  • 23,000+ health workers received training as part of VSO efforts to improve frontline care
  • Over 1.1 million people received health care through VSO-supported partners – nearly a third of them children under-5
  • Over a quarter of a million people – the majority of them women – were supported towards developing a more secure living
