NHS Partnership

Do you work for NHSScotland?

If the answer’s yes, read on!

We’ve teamed up with NHSScotland to form a groundbreaking partnership which gives you the chance to work in Africa and keep your pension and employment benefits intact.

Healthier ScotlandWho? What? Where?

It’s a 2-year pilot initially. A total of 20 NHSScotland volunteers will work in Malawi or other sub-Saharan African countries, depending on where the need is greatest.

How will you benefit?

The Scottish Executive has endorsed and provided funding to ensure continuity of existing terms and conditions for NHSScotland employees who volunteer with us as part of this initiative. That means you won’t lose out on pension or employment benefits while you’re overseas. And when you return, you’ll be entitled to a position of a similar grade in NHSScotland as that which you left. So you can take ‘time out’ safe in the knowledge that getting back in will be easy.

Read our full list of long term opportunities here. Read more about our short term specialist assignments here.
