Fundraising
If you’re reading this you are probably thinking about dedicating some of your time to supporting VSO, and we’re extremely grateful. The valuable work that VSO volunteers carry out around the world wouldn’t be possible without help from people like you. Why Fundraise?
Fundraising is fundamental to the work of VSO. Without your help we wouldn't be able to continue sending volunteers to work in some of the world’s most disadvantaged countries. The money you raise goes directly towards recruiting, training and sending volunteers to countries where they can share their skills and help to change people's lives. This costs VSO approximately £15,000 per volunteer, per year.
This section of the site is devoted to advice, suggestions, information, and more or less everything we feel you need to know and consider when embarking on a fundraising campaign. We'd like to say a big thank you to everyone who took part in this years raffle. You've helped us raise over £36,000 which is fantastic news and will help to continue supporting our volunteers worldwide. You can see the list of winners.

Volunteer Fiona McLeod asked her friends and family to eat chocolate for VSO! When they had finished their chocolates they filled up each tube with 20 pence pieces and pound coins and raised over £1,500. In return she promised to send monthly updates about her progress as a VSO volunteer.
